THE GAME: The Washington football team (6-2 overall, 2-2 Pac-12) plays host to No. 24 Oregon State (also 6-2, 3-2) in a Friday night game at Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium. Kickoff for the 107th UW-OSU game is at 7:30 p.m. and the game will air on ESPN2. Both teams come into the game off of their bye week. Following this Friday night’s game, the Huskies travel south to play Oregon on Nov. 12.
 
QUICK HITTERS: Michael Penix Jr. broke multiple UW records in the win over Arizona, including most notably, the marks for single-game passing yards (516), completions (36) and total offense (529) … Penix enters the week No. 1in the nation in passing yards and passing yards per game, second in total offense, fourth in completions per game, and fifth in passing TDs … Penix has passed for 300 or more yards in all eight games this season. the longest such streak in UW history … only two UW QBs have posted more 300-yard passing games, over their entire careers, than Penix has in his first eight games: Cody Pickett (14) and Jake Browning (9) … WR Rome Odunze posted four straight 100-yard receiving games this year (game 4-7), making him the first in UW history to do that … UW has scored on its first possession of every game this season … Washington has punted in the first half five times this year, and has punted just 15 times all season … UW has gone 3-and-out just seven times in 89 offensive possessions this year … through eight games, the Huskies have had seven 100-yard receiving performances, from four different players: Rome Odunze (4), Giles Jackson, Jalen McMillan & Ja’Lynn Polk … six true freshmen have played for the UW this season: DL Jayvon Parker, CB Jayvion Green, PK Grady Gross, WR Denzel Boston, S Tristan Dunn & EDGE Lance Holtzclaw … UW enters the OSU game first in the NCAA-FBS in passing offense, as well as No. 7 in total offense and No. 10 in total offense … the UW offense is also No. 4 in the nation in first downs and is No. 5 in third-down conversion percentage … the Huskies are also 12th in the nation in sacks, and seventh in sacks allowed … Washington has already far surpassed last year’s 12-game, season totals for both points and touchdowns … UW has 323 points and 41 TDs in 2022, after compling just 258 and 32, respectively, last year.
