Georgia vs. Tennessee was heralded as the most-anticipated matchup of the season, and through two quarters of play, it’s clear the reigning national champions are out to make a statement on the biggest stage of the season. The No. 3 Bulldogs lead the No. 1 Volunteers 24-6 as the third quarter begins in Athens as the Georgia offense is out to remind some people how deadly it can be.
Stetson Bennett has thrown for 226 yards and two touchdowns as Ladd McConkey leads the way in receiving with 63 yards on three catches with a touchdown. Bennett has also added one score on the ground as the Dawgs dominated the first 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, the high-powered Tennessee offense has been held down by the Georgia defense. Hendon Hooker, who has drawn a plethora of Heisman hype throughout this undefeated run for the Vols, has only thrown for 88 yards and an interception through the half.
