Lambeau Field is set for Sunday’s Salute to Service game, presented by Fleet Farm. The game between the Packers and Cowboys will honor members of the military and veterans and show appreciation for their service in a variety of ways.
Players will wear and use special equipment that features the NFL Salute to Service camo-ribbon decal. The stadium will feature camouflage Salute to Service goal post wraps, banners and pylon decals, and in-game video features will include recognition of veterans and those who are serving.
At the Packers Pro Shop, fans can take part in the Salute to Service effort by purchasing a limited-edition Packers Salute to Service bandana for $10 each to raise money for nonprofit organization Patriot K9s of Wisconsin. $5 from each purchase will go directly to the Wausau-based organization that educates and trains psychiatric service dog teams to help veterans win the war against suicide, depression and anxiety. The Packers and Fleet Farm will match each donation made through purchases of the bandana.
Prior to the game, fans can visit the Mobile Vet Center in Titletown to learn about the MVC’s mission of helping veterans adjust back to civilian life after serving in a war zone. The MVC travels to pre- and post-deployment locations, letting the Reserve, Guard and Active-Duty members know they are available to help them and their families. Wisconsin County Veterans Service Officers will be present to provide VA Benefits information and answer questions.
Sunday’s game will feature the winning sign from the Packers Everywhere ‘Give Us A Sign’ contest. Fans can pick up a sign that reads “Every day is Leap Day at Lambeau Field” between noon and kickoff Sunday adjacent to Ridge Road at Titletown. A limited number of signs will be available.
With ongoing construction on the east side of the stadium, fans are reminded to pay attention as they approach the stadium, as new traffic signage will direct them to the appropriate lanes and parking lots to enhance efficiency. Those with parking passes should display them on their mirrors.
Fans attending Sunday’s game will also notice pedestal-style ticket scanners, aimed at getting fans into the stadium quicker and more easily. Ticket holders can either scan mobile tickets that have been added to their digital wallet on the upper part of the pedestal, or scan each mobile ticket’s barcode on the lower part of the pedestal.
