The Florida Gators defeated the South Carolina Gamecocks in their final home game of the 2022 campaign, 38-6, thanks to a punishing running game and an even more robust defensive effort. While there were some sloppy moments — especially on special teams play — the home team ground out the big victory on Senior Day.
Quarterback Anthony Richardson finished just shy of the 100-yard mark running the ball, but running backs Montrell Johnson Jr. and Trevor Etienne both eclipsed the century mark to give the Gators 374 yards by the rushing attack. Richardson finished 11 of 23 passing for 112 yards and 96 yards on 15 carries.
