THE GAME: The Washington football team (8-2 overall, 5-2 Pac-12) plays its final home game of the year this Saturday as Colorado (1-9, 1-7) travels to Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium. Game time on Saturday is 6:00 p.m., on Pac-12 Network. The Huskies return home after a 37-34 win at then-No. 6 Oregon, which has moved the Huskies up to No. 15 in both the AP Top 25 and the coaches’ poll. The Huskies close out the regular season the following Saturday, Nov. 26, with the Boeing Apple Cup at Washington State.
 
QUICK HITTERS: Washington is 3-0 vs. ranked teams in 2022 … Michael Penix Jr. broke multiple UW records in the win over Arizona, including most notably, the marks for single-game passing yards (516), completions (36) and total offense (529) … Penix enters this week No. 1 in the nation in passing yards and passing yards per game; and No. 2 in total offense and completions per game … Penix has passed for 300 or more yards in nine of 10 games this season (and 298 in the other) … Penix is No. 2 in UW history in single-season passing yards, with 3,640 … WR Rome Odunze notched four straight 100-yard receiving games this year (games 4-7), making him the first in UW history to do that … he got a fifth 100-yard game (non-consecutive) vs. OSU … through nine games, the Huskies have had nine 100-yard receiving performances, from four different players: Rome Odunze (5), Jalen McMillan (2), Giles Jackson, & Ja’Lynn Polk … UW has scored on its first possession in nine of 10 games this season … UW has gone 3-and-out just 10 times in 108 offensive possessions this year … six true freshmen have played for the UW this season: DL Jayvon Parker, CB Jayvion Green, PK Grady Gross, WR Denzel Boston, S Tristan Dunn & EDGE Lance Holtzclaw … UW enters the Colorado game first in the NCAA-FBS in passing offense, as well as No. 8 in total offense and No. 13 in scoring offense … the UW offense is also No. 3 in the nation in third-down conversion percentage and No. 4 in first downs … the Huskies are first in fewest fumbles lost, third in sacks allowed and fourth in turnovers lost … Washington has far surpassed last year’s 12-game, season totals for both points and touchdowns … UW has 384 points and 48 TDs in 2022, after compling just 258 and 32, respectively, last year.
