DURHAM – New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Noah Gray highlighted the four former Blue Devils that appeared in the 10th week of play in the National Football League.
On Sunday afternoon in East Rutherford, Jones completed 13 of his 17 pass attempts, tallying 197 yards through the air, as the Giants improved to 7-2 following their 24-16 victory over the Houston Texans. The former Blue Devils quarterback threw for two touchdowns and added 24 yards on five carries in the game. With the Giants holding a slim 7-3 lead, Jones connected with wide receiver Darius Slayton in the third quarter for a 54-yard touchdown pass to extend their lead to 14-3.
In Kansas City, Gray earned his fourth consecutive start and tallied two catches for 20 yards, including a 13-yard touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes with 46 seconds left before half to extend the Chiefs’ lead to 20-7. With the 27-17 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, Kansas City improved to 7-2 on the season.
Chicago Bears rookie defensive back Josh Blackwell and Arizona Cardinals linebacker Victor Dimukeje both saw action on Sunday for their respective teams as well.
