DURHAM – The Voice of the Blue Devils, David Shumate, sat down with redshirt junior running back Jordan Waters for a brief question and answer session.
 
DS: One of the hallmarks of this team this season has been running the football. A bunch of different guys have been involved. When you look at that running back room, who has impressed you the most?
 
JW: I would have to say Jaquez Moore. Not being what he wanted to be at the start of the season and then coming in after J-Cole’s [Jaylen Coleman] injury and stepping up. He has definitely impressed me the most.
 
DS: I want to ask you about your hometown Fairmont. I know you are very proud of it, population 2,622. Be my tour guide when you go to Fairmont where do you have to go?
 
JW: L&M. The best home cooking restaurant there is. I go there and get me a catfish sandwich and some wings.
 
DS: Every time?
 
JW: Every time.
 
DS: We are going to Pittsburgh this week and they have this thing up there called Primanti Brothers, where they put French fries on a sandwich. One, would you go for that and two, what is like the strangest food thing you have ever had?
 
JW: I would definitely go for that. Many don’t know this, but when I go to McDonald’s I get me a double cheeseburger and put my fries on top of it, so I definitely have to try that.
 
DS: We are getting late in the season now, when you look back at this year to this point, what has been your favorite part of it all?
