With two weekends left in the 2022 college football regular season, Texas A&M’s ugly, horrible, no good, very bad season is nearing its end, as the Aggies make their way back to Kyle Field to take on the 1-9 UMass Minutemen of the Independent conference.
As you hopefully know by now, Texas A&M fell to the Auburn Tigers in a painfully close 13-10 Saturday night visit to the sold-out Jordan-Hare Stadium, as freshman quarterback Conner Weigman returned to the lineup only to be sacked 3 times, and have one of his best weapons taken away in wide receiver Moose Muhammad III due to a “uniform disagreement”. With the loss, the program has dropped its sixth consecutive game since the 1972 season, while the run defense continues to put up historic lows on run defense allowing 2,206 yards on the ground this season, after giving up, 390, 291, and 270 rushing yards in their last three games.
As the Aggies sit at 3-7, and 1-6 in the SEC with UMass coming to town, playing for pride, each other, and the University as a whole is the goal while continuing to develop the younger players on the roster, who have already had their “welcome to the SEC” moment numerous times over the season, and especially during the grueling losing streak.

As I mentioned in a previous article earlier this week, UMass, under defensive-minded head coach Don Brown has one of the better passing defenses in the FBS this season, ranked 19th in the nation heading into the game on Saturday. Throughout the season, aside from their up-tempo-based opening possession against Ole Miss, The Aggies have been…
