Eight Named To CSC Academic All-District 8 Team



Eight Cal players were selected Tuesday to the College Sports Communicators’ Academic All-District 8 Football Team.


Baker, Barth, Cindric, Driscoll, Plummer, Rask, Sheahan And Woodson Honored

BERKELEY – Eight Cal players were selected Tuesday to the College Sports Communicators’ Academic All-District 8 Football Team with the selections including Justin Richard Baker, Hunter Barth, Matthew Cindric, Brian Driscoll, Jack Plummer, Gunnar Rask, Jamieson Sheahan and Craig Woodson.

The honor recognizes top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Cindric is being recognized with the honor for the second consecutive season, while each of the other seven are being honored for the first time.

All eight will be on the CSC Academic All-America® ballot with first and second-team Academic All-America honorees announced Dec. 20.

Among the criteria to be nominated for CSC Academic All-District® and All-America® honors are a cumulative 3.50 GPA, being a starter or significant substitute who has played in at least half of the team’s games, being at least a sophomore in academically and athletically, and for undergraduates being in residency at your school for at least one calendar year.
