We’re in for a classic New Orleans Saints (4-7) rivalry game this week against the San Francisco 49ers (6-4), pitting two members of the old NFC West against each other. San Francisco has rallied around star running back Christian McCaffrey, acquired in a midseason trade with the Carolina Panthers, but the Saints defense knows him well. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:25 p.m. CT on Sunday, Nov. 27.
And we know who will be on the mic for the FOX broadcast in Week 12: Kevin Kugler and Mark Sanchez will call the game from the booth, with Laura Okmin reporting from the sidelines. Kugler is a veteran play-by-play commentator, and Sanchez has found success working games after hanging up his cleats, so they should have some interesting input.
San Francisco is coming off of a three-game win streak, having beaten the Arizona Cardinals 38-10 on Monday night after taking down the Los Angeles Chargers and L.A. Rams by margins of 22-16 and 31-14, respectively. The Saints will have their work cut out for them at Levi’s Stadium this Sunday. New Orleans held off that same Rams team in a 27-20 win at home last week, but the Cardinals (who were outmatched by the Niners) demolished them 42-34 earlier this season. We’ll have to hurry up and wait to see how this one turns out.
