Having played in the last 33 games consecutively for the Scarlet Knights, Ahanotu has totaled 36 tackles in the middle of the defensive line. The Tampa, Florida, native was voted a team captain and is a two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection as an information technology and informatics major. An active member of Chop4Change, he claimed a spot on the Wuerffel Trophy watch list, which recognizes college football players who serve others, celebrate their positive impact on society and inspire greater service in the world as the sport’s premier award for community service.
Korsak is working on his second master’s degree (labor and employment law) after previously earning a M.C.M. (master of communication and media, strategic organizational communication) and bachelor’s degree (labor relations and employment law) from Rutgers University. The Aussie is a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar, three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and was named a semifinalist for the Campbell Trophy, which recognizes an individual as the absolute best football scholar-athlete in the nation for combined academic success, football performance and exemplary leadership. On the field, the three-time captain is in contention for the Ray Guy Award as a semifinalist. He has led a punt unit that ranks first in the nation with -10 return yards against, allowing no positive returns in 65 attempts. Overall, the Scarlet Knights are fourth nationally in net punting average at 43.46. That includes 29 downed inside the 20, 29 fair catches and a muff recovered to lead to a touchdown.
