One of Cade McNamara’s teammates might wind up in Iowa City with him.

After McNamara revealed he is transferring to Iowa to take over as the Hawkeyes’ starting quarterback in 2023, there was a natural hope that McNamara’s arrival might lead to talented help joining him in Iowa City.

Per The Ann Arbor News Michigan football beat writer Aaron McMann, former Wolverines tight end Erick All is taking a trip to Iowa City this weekend. Scott Springer of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports that All is deciding between Iowa, Notre Dame and Washington.

“I’m taking an official this weekend with Cade (McNamara) at Iowa. I’m trying to decide where I’m going to go to next weekend, Washington or Notre Dame,” All said.

One of Michigan’s captains to start the season, All finished this year with just three grabs for 36 yards. He only played in Michigan’s first three games, though, against Colorado State, Hawaii and Connecticut. All opted to have successful spine surgery in Florida in October which sidelined him for the remainder of this 2022 college football season.

In 2021, All was one of Michigan’s top offensive weapons, hauling in 38 catches for 437 yards. Each of those figures ranked second on the Wolverines last season. He also had a pair of touchdown receptions, one of which came at the expense of the Hawkeyes in the 2021 Big Ten Championship game. The other was versus Penn State.

All addressed why he was transferring in a pair of tweets on Monday.
