WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue University vice president and director of athletics Mike Bobinski has announced that a national search has commenced to select new leadership for the Boilermaker football program.
Purdue Football (8-5) is fresh off an appearance in the Big Ten Football Championship Game and heads to the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl on Jan. 2. The Boilermakers have posted back-to-back eight-win regular seasons and have earned bowl berths four times in the last six seasons. This year’s Big Ten West Division title was the first in program history.
Bobinski has appointed Brian Brohm to serve as interim head coach for the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl. Brohm has served as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Boilermakers since the 2017 season.
STATEMENT FROM AD MIKE BOBINSKI
“On behalf of Purdue University, our football program and the entire Purdue community, we’re grateful to Coach Jeff Brohm, his staff and our players for their dedicated efforts in elevating the performance and profile of Purdue football over the past six seasons. We’re very well positioned for the future and are focused on continuing to strive for greater and sustained success. We look forward to identifying and bringing aboard a high quality head football coach who recognizes the significant opportunity here at Purdue and will lead our program to new heights in the years ahead.”
