The Miami Dolphins, after their loss to the San Francisco 49ers, have stayed on the West Coast before they take on the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday night at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
According to Tipico Sportsbook, Miami is currently a 3.5-point favorite for this game. They’re also favorites on the money line, as their victory is set at -170. The over/under for the contest is 52 points.
Mike McDaniel’s team is coming off their first defeat since Week 6 against the Minnesota Vikings. While Miami was without both of their starting tackles, leading to three sacks, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa had his worst performance of the season. His inaccurate passes, mostly uncaused, led to a number of short drives which allowed San Francisco to control the clock. That’s not something they can afford often.
The 6-6 Chargers, led by Brandon Staley, are just outside the playoff seeding at this point, but a win would likely push them back into a wild-card spot. They were defeated by the Las Vegas Raiders last Sunday, allowing Josh Jacobs and Davante Adams to account for nearly 330 yards and three touchdowns. With the Dolphins having a potent offense most weeks, Los Angeles’ defense should be a bit nervous.
Miami and Los Angeles will face off on Sunday at 8:20 p.m. ET.
