STARKVILLE – Former Mississippi State standout and Starkville native Willie Gay Jr. highlighted Week 14 with his first career pick-6 in the Kansas City Chiefs’ 34-28 win.

Gay tipped a Russell Wilson pass to himself then raced 47-yards for the touchdown to give the Chiefs a 27-0 lead over the Denver Broncos in the second quarter.

Gay finished the game with five tackles, including one for loss and now has three career interceptions.

Gay’s teammate Chris Jones also provided a sack in that contest and now has 11 on the year, which is tied for sixth in the NFL. It is the second-highest sack total of Jones’ career and now has 60.5 total, good enough for sixth in franchise history.
