Wide receiver Yulkeith Brown enters transfer portal

Defensive Tackle Micaiah Overton to transfer to Texas A&M

For Texas A&M, the 2022 season came to an end on Nov. 26th, as the Aggies crossed the finish line in spectacular fashion after a highly disappointing campaign, defeating the then 5th-ranked LSU Tigers 38-23 in front of 90,000 plus fans to send the program into the offseason with some much-needed momentum.

However, every FBS program in the country knew that the transfer portal reaper would soon be knocking on their door, as Dec. 5th marked the portal’s opening, while Texas A&M felt the brunt of it early. A week before, 12 Aggies players announced their intent to transfer, including names such as Defensive end Tunmise Adeleye, Quarterback Haynes King, and Wide receiver. Chase lane, while most of the other players who entered were primary backups or rotational pieces.

Last week, a total of eight players entered the portal, including linebacker Andre White Jr., linebacker Tarien Lee Jr., and freshman wide receiver Chris Marshall, who was suspended for half the season due to suspension. After a couple of days without any transfer news, Junior wide receiver Devin Price, son of current Aggies defensive ends coach Terry Price entered the portal, and as soon as Tuesday afternoon hit, sophomore wide receiver Yulkeith Brown threw his name in the portal.

In two seasons with the Aggies, Brown recorded 6 receptions for 112 yards and 1 touchdown, all occurring in the 2022 season after appearing in 5 games during the year, missing 7 games due to an unfortunate injury.
