The top player in the 2024 recruiting class with family ties to Nebraska football has announced his decommitment from Ohio State. Quarterback Dylan Raiola of Chandler, Arizona, made the announcement on Saturday. He had committed to the Buckeyes in May.
Raiola is the son of former Husker offensive lineman Dominic Raiola. Dominic played in Lincoln from 1998-2000, was a consensus All-American in 2000, and has had his No. 54 jersey retired by the school. Donovan Raiola is the Husker offensive line coach and was one of the few members of the previous staff to be retained by new head coach Matt Rhule.
The young Raiola plays for Chandler High School in Arizona. He initially chose the Buckeyes over schools such as Alabama, Georgia and Oregon.
This is a developing story, so keep turning to Cornhuskers Wire for the latest news surrounding Dylan Raiola and the class of 2024.
Dylan Raiola’s uncle, Donovan, is the offensive line coach at Nebraska, the only coach Matt Rhule retained from the previous staff.
It is fair to use the eye emojis in Lincoln 👀👀 https://t.co/vTlP6th5Cj

So I’m starting 2 connect the dots.
*Donovan Raiola is the only coach kept from current staff.
* Ohio state takes another Qb in this class (they said they weren’t)
*Dylan Raiola scrubs Ohio St from his profile & now removes his commitment video.
Did Rhule really flip him?

Interesting. 5⭐️ QB, Dylan Raiola has removed Ohio State from his bio, profile picture, and header. He also recently removed his commitment video.
Saw a few Ohio State fans talking about it and wanted to relay it here. It could be something or it could be nothing.#GBR | 🌽👀
