JACKSONVILLE – Each week during the 2022 season, Jaguars “experts” – Tony Boselli, Frank Frangie, Jeff Lageman, Brent Martineau, John Oehser, Brian Sexton and J.P. Shadrick – will analyze the following day’s Jaguars matchup.

- The Jaguars will win if:They can keep pace with a balanced and explosive offense. The Jaguars need to score 28-plus to win, and with the way Lawrence is playing, I don’t see that being a problem. Defensively. the Jags have had problems getting teams off the field. They will need to force two-to-three turnovers and play a bend-but-don’t-break defense. Winning the turnover battle will be key.
- The Cowboys will win if:They are able to run the ball effectively with Elliott and Pollard. This will keep the Cowboys ahead of the chains and set up the play-action pass, which will stress the back half of the Jaguars defense. This will set up big plays in the passing game, an area in which the Jaguars have struggled.
- As Boselli sees it:This is a playoff-like game for the Jaguars. It will be a great atmosphere. If the Cowboys win, they are in the playoffs, so you know you will get their best. Lawrence is playing at such a high level right now. I think he has a huge game and lights up the Cowboys’ defense. It will be a high-scoring affair: Jags 34, Cowboys 31.

- The Jaguars will win if:They continue to protect Lawrence, who is slowly growing into one of the top young quarterbacks in the NFL. The chemistry between Lawrence and his receivers is better every week; this is a top-notch passing game. The Jaguars also must contain Dallas’ two terrific running backs and make the Cowboys one-dimensional. Prescott has thrown some picks when pressured this season. The Jags must find a pass rush.
- The Cowboys will win if: They get to Lawrence. That may be the only way to slow what is becoming a very impressive…
