UCLA wide receiver Jake Bobo has been voted to the first team of the 2022 Academic All-America® football team selected by the College Sports Communicators which was released on Tuesday. The CSC Academic All-America® Team recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Each student-athlete must attain a 3.5 cumulative grade point average or higher to be eligible for the award honors.
Bobo, a grad transfer to UCLA from Duke, posted a 3.54 undergraduate GPA as an economics major as a Blue Devil and has earned a 3.86 mark while a Bruin where he is enrolled in the graduate program in Transformative Coaching and Leadership.
Bobo is the leading receiver on the UCLA team this season. He has made 54 catches for a team-best 789 yards. Bobo’s total of seven touchdown receptions this season is tied for sixth in the Pac-12. He ended the regular season 10th in the Pac-12 in both yards per game (65.75) and receiving yards. Bobo caught a season-high eight passes at Oregon, adding 101 receiving yards and a touchdown. It was his second 100-yard game of this season (also Washington-142 yards). He had two scoring receptions in wins against both Utah and Washington.
