“We have to do a better job…”

JACKSONVILLE – His answer was as obvious as the question.

Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence on Thursday is expected to play in the rain and the cold, so his last game in similar conditions was understandably a topic when he spoke to the media Tuesday. Lessons learned? What will he do differently?

“Take care of the ball a little better,” he said with a slight smile.

“We know what that’s like, just having to adjust on the fly. It hasn’t really affected our plan much or the way we call plays or execute. It has been good.”

Lawrence said he and his teammates likely will do wet-condition drills this week, adding that there’s a limit to how much a player can prepare for such conditions.

“As far as my preparation, you kind of…
