Nebraska Football: Nation Commits to Cornhuskers

Nebraska receives commitment from in-state recruit

The Nebraska Cornhuskers received a commitment from a defensive back out of Georgia on Tuesday afternoon. Ethan Nation of Roswell High School announced his decision during the Under Armor All-American Game.

Nation chose Nebraska over Auburn, Houston and Ohio State. He stands at 5 feet, 11 inches and weighs approximately 165 pounds.

He announced his intentions on social media back in December.

“This has always been a childhood dream of mine! I will be announcing my commitment at The Under Armor All American game on January 3.”

The cornerback was ranked No. 169 overall in the ESPN 300 and No. 18 as a CB. Nation told Husker247 that the coaching staff played a big role in decision.

“The whole coaching staff, when I got up there, it was nothing but love, they got me up there in a day. They did everything they could to get me up there in one day so it really showed they were all in for me, and they wanted me up there.”

He will join Syncere Safeeullah and Dwight Bootle II as the only three defensive backs listed in the class of 2023.
