NCAA transfer portal season has already been very active in Iowa City since the 2022 college football regular season closed.
Iowa has seen the departures and arrivals of a pair of quarterbacks via the transfer portal. Away went both Alex Padilla and Carson May, incoming are Michigan transfer Cade McNamara and Wisconsin transfer Deacon Hill.
Meanwhile, defensive backs Reggie Bracy, Dallas Craddieth and Terry Roberts are looking for new homes. Linebacker Jestin Jacobs has already announced he’s off to Oregon, while running back Gavin Williams heads to Northern Illinois.
The rest of Iowa’s transfer portal entrees include tight end Elijah Yelverton, offensive lineman Josh Volk and wide receivers Keagan Johnson and Arland Bruce IV. Johnson announced his decision to join the Kansas State Wildcats.
To help offset the losses of those key receivers, Iowa has added tight end Erick All from Michigan to pair with McNamara’s transfer. Earlier this week the Hawkeyes picked up a commitment from Charleston Southern wide receiver Seth Anderson as well.
Of course, the Hawkeyes would love to continue beefing up their offense with both skill players and an offensive lineman or two if they can. Iowa has reportedly zeroed in on a name to watch up front.

Per Josh Edwards of CatsPause.com, the Kentucky Wildcats’ 247Sports affiliate, Rouse has visits scheduled with Iowa, Nebraska and Oklahoma.
