Vikings at Bears Week 18 Injury Report

EAGAN, Minn. — The Minnesota Vikings (12-4) on Friday ruled out center Garrett Bradbury (back) and defensive lineman James Lynch (shoulder) for the team’s noon (CT) Sunday game against the Bears (3-13) in Chicago.

Bradbury last played Dec. 4 against the Jets and has been attacking his rehab.

With backup center Austin Schlottmann suffering a season-ending injury last week while playing in Bradbury’s place, Chris Reed is likely to make his first start as a Viking.

Reed, who teamed with Adam Thielen at Minnesota State, Mankato, has appeared in six games this season and played his first 53 offensive snaps in relief of Schlottmann last week.

Lynch has started two of the 15 games he’s played this season, including against the Giants on Dec. 24, but he left that game early.

Linebacker Brian Asamoah II (knee) was listed as questionable for Sunday’s game, and so was cornerback Cameron Dantzler, Sr. Vikings Head Coach Kevin O’Connell said “a little soreness in the ankle popped up [Friday].”

Safety Josh Metellus (thigh) did not receive a game status designation and is expected to be available.

The Vikings added outside linebacker Za’Darius Smith (did not participate Friday — not injury related) to the report. O’Connell said it’s a personal matter, and Smith will be listed as questionable but the Vikings anticipate him being with the team in Chicago.
