Texas A&M and Head coach Jimbo Fisher have all but solidified the 2023 recruiting class, currently situated as the 11th-ranked class in the country, according to 247Sports.
As we always say in the college sports writing industry, recruiting never stops, which means that the 2024 recruiting cycle has begun to take center stage, as Texas A&M is set to hold their annual Junior Day on both January 21st and 28th, which will include a visit from current LSU commit and 2024 3-Star linebacker, Xavier Atkins.
Atkins has had quite the football journey in the last year, as the Louisiana native recently made the move to Houston, and will play out his senior season at Summer Creek High School. Atkins committed to LSU on July 5th, 2022 after de-committing from Missouri just a day before. His relationship with the Aggies became closer after his unofficial visit on Sept. 17th, re-opening interest from both sides.
