In a surprising move, Nebraska Cornhuskers offensive tackle commit Walter Rouse has flipped to the Oklahoma Sooners.

Rouse shared his decision on Twitter.

“I never knew how the power of one’s faith and gut intuition could so forcefully persuade a decision,” Rouse wrote. “That happened to me this week. And on Friday, January 13th, I informed the head coach of University of Oklahoma that I would be de-committing from University of Nebraska and play my last year of eligibility as part of the 129th football team for the University of Oklahoma.”

Rouse committed to the Cornhuskers on January 11th. Over the last four seasons, he played in 40 games for the Stanford Cardinals. In 2020, he was an All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention. On3 ranks Rouse as the 20th-best offensive tackle in the transfer portal.
