Oklahoma edge Danny Okoye visiting Buffs

The Colorado Buffaloes continue being linked to top-ranked recruits and transfer portal players.

The Deion Sanders effect is spiraling out of control, and each day there is a new player interested in coming to Boulder.

This time, it is 2024 edge Danny Okoye, who is the top-ranked player in the state of Oklahoma, per the 247Sports composite. Okoye tweeted on Sunday that he plans to be in Boulder on Jan. 28.

After the Buffs landed five-star cornerback Cormani McClain to pair with former Jackson State CB Travis Hunter, the Buffs’ defense is looking dangerous. Landing Okoye would make that group even better.

Okoye, a Northeast Oklahoma Association of Homeschools student, has drawn interest from numerous top-tier programs, including Alabama, Tennessee, Texas, USC, Ohio State and Georgia.

Okoye has been offered from his home-state Oklahoma Sooners, but he must be thinking hard about Colorado, especially after seeing all of the talent finding its way to Boulder.

Another day has gone by, and it is another day with a top-ranked prospect being linked to the Colorado Buffaloes.
