It pays well to be a part of the Arkansas coaching staff.
According to reports by Hawgs Sports, new secondary coach Deron Wilson will earn $300,000 in 2023. Wilson’s contract will run through 2025 with some benefits and incentives.
Wilson will receive the basic benefits that include eight tickets to home games, a $2,000 Nike Elite allowance, an annual $7,200 car allowance, and a club membership to either Fayetteville Country Club or Paradise Valley Athletic Club.
Wilson will receive bonuses if the Razorbacks make it to certain postseason games. A trip to the SEC Championship and any bowl appearance equals a half-month salary bonus. A national championship brings the biggest bonus worth three months’ salary, an estimated $75,000.
Arkansas hired Wilson from Florida where he was a defensive analyst. He replaced Dominque Bowman, the cornerbacks coach who was not retained and subsequently hooked on with Temple for the 2023 season.
