In less than a week, the ACC will reveal its highly-anticipated 2023 football schedule, which will introduce the 3-3-5 model and eliminate the Atlantic and Coastal divisions.
 
Fans can tune in to ACC Network on Monday, Jan. 30 at 7 p.m. ET to watch the unveiling, which will include dates for all of Virginia Tech football’s 12-game slate. Join the interest list to be the first to know when the Hokies’ schedule is finalized.
 
New season tickets are available now starting at $350. You can pick your preferred seat location and enjoy a number of exclusive benefits while maximizing value when compared to single game ticket prices.
 
Current season ticket holders must renew their tickets and Hokie Scholarship Fund gift by March 1, 2023, in order to take part in the annual seat improvement process this spring.
 
Let’s take a look at which teams the Hokies will be facing off against on the road this upcoming football season.
 
Rutgers
After a 4-8 record (1-8 B1G) and heading into his 14th season as head coach, Greg Schiano brought back some familiar faces to the coaching staff with the hopes of having the first winning season since 2015. On Jan. 7, 2023, Schiano named Kirk Ciarrocca the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Ciarrocca, who has over 30 years of coaching experience, returns to Piscataway after serving on Schiano’s staff for three seasons and winning two bowl games from 2008-10. Joining Schiano and Ciarrocca is Dave Brock, who was announced on Jan. 19 as the new wide receivers coach. Brock returns to the Scarlet Knights after a five-year stint with the Atlanta Falcons (2017-21) in the same role. 
 
Marshall
In his second season as head coach, Charles Huff led the Thundering Herd to a 9-4 record (5-3 Sun Belt), which included a win at then-No. 8 Notre Dame and their first bowl win since 2018. This will be the first time the two have faced off since their 2018 makeup game due to Hurricane Florence when the Hokies walked out with a 41-10 win. Returning to Marshall’s defense is a pair of All-Sun Belt Conference First Team selections in defensive lineman Owen Porter and defensive back Micah Abraham. Porter led the Sun Belt with 9.5 sacks while Abraham led the Thundering Herd with five interceptions…
