Thirteen members of the 2022 Wolfpack squad have been named to the All-ACC Academic team, the league office announced today.
The Wolfpack was one of only two league teams with a pair of three-time honorees and the only team with two selections who also won first-team All-ACC honors.
Student-athletes must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.00 or greater and must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests to be considered for the football All-ACC Academic team.
Center Grant Gibson and Snapper Joe Shimko earned the nod for the third time in their career. Only eight other Wolfpack players have earned three or more Academic All-ACC nods since the team was instituted in 1954.
DL Cory Durden and offensive guard Dylan McMahon each earned their second academic all-conference honor.
Gibson and offensive guard Chandler Zavala were just two of the eight league players to be named Academic All-ACC and first-team All-ACC.
