MOBILE, Ala., – Cameron Young will be representing Mississippi State in the Senior Bowl on Saturday.
The Senior Bowl is set for a 1:30 p.m. kickoff at Hancock Whitney Stadium and televised on NFL Network.
Young appeared in 42 games during his Bulldog career and made 25 starts at defensive tackle. The Crosby, Mississippi native recorded 107 tackles, nine tackles for loss, two sacks, four pass breakups and one interception across his college career.
The 6-foot-3, 315-pounder started all 13 games at State this past season and finished with 38 tackles, three stops for a loss, one sack, one pass deflection and a pair of quarterback hurries.
Young is a member of the American team and being coached in the Senior Bowl by former MSU offensive coordinator Luke Getsy, who now serves in the same capacity for the Chicago Bears. Former Bulldog head coach Sylvester Croom also serves as senior vice president of operations for the Senior Bowl.
Young is the 99th player from Mississippi State to be selected for the Senior Bowl. Current NFL players Gabe Jackson, Preston Smith, Dak Prescott, Johnathan Abram, Gerri Green, Elgton Jenkins, Montez Sweat and Tyre Phillips are all Senior Bowl Alumni.
