Iowa Hawkeyes’ former wide receiver Ihmir Smith-Marsette is officially a Super Bowl champion! With the 38-35 Kansas City Chiefs victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, Smith-Marsette gets to hoist the Lombardi Trophy.

The former Hawkeye joined the Chiefs this season and saw some time on the active roster throughout the season. While at Iowa, he was an electrifying player for the offense and special teams. He had his hands in a multitude of ways.
While at Iowa, he put up 110 receptions for 1,615 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns. Smith-Marsette ran for 274 rushing yards and four touchdowns which exemplifies his playmaking ability with the ball in his hands.
On special teams, he was able to bust games wide open and create huge momentum swings at times. As a kickoff returner he had 1,520 return yards and two kickoff return touchdowns.
