Former Clemson, Duke, and Appalachian State quarterback Chase Brice is a popular guy.
Recently selected third overall in the first round of the 2023 USFL College draft to the Houston Gamblers, Brice’s football career will continue, if not in the NFL, in the USFL. With the experience and talent to push for a roster spot, the NFL is certainly a real possibility for Brice. His most recent experience with App State saw him spend two seasons with the Mountaineers in 2021 and 2022, throwing 54 touchdown passes for 6,212 yards passing over the course of 26 game appearances.
Brice is talented, that’s for sure, and some of the NFL greats have recognized this. Former Cowboys star wide receiver, Dez Bryant, posted on Twitter about loving a sleeper QB in this draft class, mentioning how he’d love to see this player in a QB battle with the Jets or as the Cowboys’ backup. That quarterback ended up being Brice.

After some incorrect guesses, Bryant revealed his love for Brice’s game. He defended his stance when receiving some backlash.
