Huskers end season with win at Iowa

The win puts Nebraska at 16–15 on the season. The loss was only the second Big Ten home loss for the Hawkeyes.

Sam Griesel led the Huskers in scoring with 16 points on the afternoon. The Senior also added six rebounds and three assists in the victory.

Senior forward Derek Walker also contributed nine points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists. Forward Patrick McCaffrey led the Hawkeyes with 23 points.

Iowa’s shooting started slow and never really got going as a result. The Hawkeyes shot only 36.5% from the field and 32% from the three-point line. The Cornhuskers, however, shot 58% from the field and an impressive 53% from three on 14 of 26 shooting.

With the regular season complete, the Cornhuskers now prepare for the Big Ten Tournament. Nebraska will tip off their postseason on Wednesday, March 8th, against the Minnesota Golden Gophers from the United Center.
