Cornhuskers in the XFL (Week 4)

Another weekend of the XFL has come and gone, and two former Cornhuskers have cracked the stat sheet in week four. Cornerback Chris Jones of the Seattle Sea Dragons and defensive lineman Freedom Akinmoladun of the St. Louis Battlehawks both made an impact for their teams over the weekend.

The Sea Dragons defeated the San Antonio Brahmas 15-6  on Saturday night. The win improved Seattle’s record to 2-2 on the year.

St. Louis moved to 3-1 on the year after a 24-11 victory over Arlington on Sunday afternoon. St. Louis now sits second in the XFL North, with the 4-0 DC Defenders on top.

Seattle is in third place in the North with a 2-2 mark. Houston leads the XFL South with a 4-0 record.

The XFL postseason will begin on April 29th and will see the top two teams in each division play in the semifinals. The 2023 XFL Championship will take place on Saturday, May 13th, in San Antonio at the Alamodome.
