The start of the new league year is only a day away, and the New England Patriots have already agreed to new deals for two of their pending free agents.
On Sunday, the team re-signed multi-purpose linebacker Raekwon McMillan to a one-year deal, and they followed that up by locking down cornerback Jonathan Jones for two more years on Monday.
The latter agreement was a big one for a Patriots team that was on the verge of having serious question marks in the defensive backfield.
But there’s still plenty of work to be done, especially with coveted players like wide receiver Jakobi Meyers and running back Damien Harris set to hit the open market on Wednesday.
