The Minnesota Vikings moved on from long-tenured wide receiver Adam Thielen this offseason, leaving a void at that position behind Justin Jefferson. The Vikings could look to the NFL Draft to help fill that void.
On Thursday, Trevor Sikkema of Pro Football Focus helped Minnesota in his latest mock draft, predicting that they will select TCU wide receiver Quentin Johnston.
“With Adam Thielen officially gone, the Vikings could very well be in the wide receiver market in the first round, especially if a player like Quentin Johnston is available. Johnston is one of the few in this class who gives you a size and speed combination as an outside receiver.”
Johnston is arguably one of the best wide receiver prospects in this draft class, and he could benefit from playing opposite Jefferson. Johnston has really great traits as a receiver and a unique combination of size and speed.
The Vikings will need to address the wide receiver position either in free agency or the NFL Draft, and coming away with Johnston could elevate Minnesota’s offense to new levels.
