Huskers in the XFL (Week 5)

Another week of the XFL is in the books, and two former Cornhuskers saw mixed results in Week Five. Cornerback Chris Jones of the Seattle Sea Dragons and defensive lineman Freedom Akinmoladun of the St. Louis Battlehawks impacted their teams over the weekend.

St. Louis fell on Saturday to the DC Defenders 28-20 from The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, Missouri. The BattleHawks hold a record of 3-2 and are in second place in the XFL North.

The XFL postseason will begin on April 29th and see the top two teams in each division play in the semifinals. The 2023 XFL Championship will occur on Saturday, May 13th, in San Antonio at the Alamodome.

St. Louis will retake the field on Saturday when they travel to Vegas to take the Vipers. Seattle will travel across the country to face the Orlando Guardians from Camping World Stadium.
