Three Tigers drafted in Todd McShay’s latest mock

NFL player comps for two of Clemson’s top prospects

Each day we get closer and closer to this upcoming 2023 NFL draft that has fans and teams excited, and for a good reason.

You’ve likely heard me mention this before, but this draft class is truly a stacked class filled from top to bottom with talent. A year from now, there’s a strong chance we will look back on this draft class as one of the best in recent memory.

The Clemson Tigers are looking to be a big part of this 2023 draft, with multiple players expected to be drafted, with three of them having a strong chance of being first-round selections.

Todd McShay recently released his latest 2023 two-round mock draft, with three Tigers appearing on the mock. Just one of which was in the first round.

Here is a look at where McShay had the Tigers fall and what he had to say about them.

15. Green Bay Packers

The Packers could be in transition this season if Rodgers does end up with the Jets, and they will have to get Jordan Love some help. Allen Lazard and Robert Tonyan signed elsewhere, which leaves the receiving group light. So yes, I could see Green Bay going in that direction. But there should also be plenty of pass-catching options on Day 2, and Murphy would be a problem for opponents off the edge of the defense. The Packers’ 34 sacks tied for 27th last season, and Rashan Gary is coming off a torn ACL. Murphy can drive back blockers, use his great bend to turn the corner and then close on the quarterback with burst. He put together 14 sacks and 23 tackles for loss over the past two seasons.
