Utah Football Earns Six Spots On NFF Hampshire Honor Society

IRVING, Texas – The University of Utah Football program had six players earn a spot on the 2023 NFF Hampshire Honor Society with R.J. Hubert, Devaughn Vele, Thomas Yassmin, Miki Suguturaga, Falcon Kaumatule and Paul Maile all being recognized.

The group consists of 1,734 players from 328 colleges and universities with the criteria to earn a spot on the list including the requirement of having a cumulative 3.2 GPA or higher, being a senior who will graduate this summer or a graduated player who has been out of high school for at least three years.

Hubert, who graduated with a degree in communications, was a semifinalist for the 2022 William V. Campbell Trophy and earned CSC Academic All-District. He was also a three-time Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll selection.

Vele, a Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll selection, is majoring in communications. Yassmin is also pursuing a degree in economics with three Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll selections under his belt.

Kaumatule has earned three Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll honors and is working on a business administration degree. Suguturaga, also a three-time Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll selection, is majoring in criminology.
