PISCATAWAY, N.J. β Rutgers Athletics will feature special programming on Saturday, April 29 as part of Rutgers Day, one of the most exciting days of the year on campus.

A celebration of everything Rutgers, the begins at 10 a.m. with Athletics inviting sports fans of all ages at a special pop-up on the College Avenue Campus in the Voorhees Mall area. There will be giveaways, prizes and a chance to take a photo with the Scarlet Knight. Student-athletes from some of Rutgers’ 24 varsity sports will also be on hand for a meet and greet.

Beginning at 11:30 a.m., Rutgers fans are encouraged to visit The Yard on College Avenue for a screening of the documentary Forgotten Champions, which features the 1982 Rutgers women’s basketball team. The film, which follows the Scarlet Knights on their run to the 1982 AIAW National Championship, is part of a yearlong celebration of the 50th anniversary of Title IX.

The annual Scarlet-White Game, presented by PNC Bank, is set to kick off at 3 p.m. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to take part in a pregame fan fest inside of SHI Stadium beginning at 2 p.m., involving some of the favorite elements of The Rutgers Boardwalk. That includes rides, games, giveaways and an NFL Knights autograph session.

At halftime, the punt receiving contest returns featuring figures from across the Rutgers community. A special moment on the field with the team and special guests caps the game. The current Scarlet Knights football team will be available afterwards for an autograph session on the field.
