New offer to 2024 LB Elijah Newby

Michigan football offer: 2026 ATH Demari Clemons

Michigan football isn’t done doling out offers to prospects in the 2024 class. On Monday, the Wolverines decided to go back to a well it had gone to before.

If Cheshire (Conn.) Academy sounds familiar, that was the high school that former Michigan wide receiver Tarik Black hailed from. The maize and blue’s newest offer just happens to hail from the same boarding school, though he’s far enough removed from the 2017 wideout that it won’t likely make much of a difference.

According to his Twitter post, Michigan football offered 2024 Cheshire (Conn.) Academy three-star linebacker Elijah Newby. He already has offers from schools such as Penn State, Nebraska, Kentucky, North Carolina, Pitt, Stanford, and USC.

Newby is rated the No. 615 player in the country according to the 247Sports Composite. His USC offer came at the end of March, so his prospects for the next level appear to be surging. He’s listed at 6-foot-4, 200-pounds.
