Giants sign veteran DL A'Shawn Robinson

When the Rams defeated Cincinnati in the Super Bowl, Robinson had six tackles (five solo) and one of Los Angeles’ seven sacks, a two-yard takedown of Joe Burrow.

That season, Robinson played in all 21 regular-season and postseason games and recorded a career-high 67 tackles (33 solo) and tied his career best with 2.0 sacks. He also had a pair of sacks in his rookie season in Detroit.

Robinson was a standout at the University of Alabama, where he played in all 39 games for the Crimson Tide from 2013-15. He had two appearances in the College Football Playoffs and won the 2015 CFP Championship against Clemson. Robinson tallied 133 total tackles (51 solo), averaged 3.0 sacks, forced one fumble and broke up five passes in his collegiate career.

Robinson was on the football, basketball, and track & field teams at Arlington Heights High School in Ft. Worth, Texas.
