The Houston Texans kept a relatively local product inside Clutch City to start to his pro career.
The Texans picked former Houston receiver Tank Dell No. 69 overall in Round 3 of the 2023 NFL draft Friday night in Kansas City.
Dell is a speedy, shifty wideout with the production to match. Despite being 5-8, as listed at the NFL combine, Dell has 4.49 speed. The former Cougar caught 109 passes for 1,398 yards and 17 touchdowns last season for Houston.
With the Texans moving up from No. 73 to 69 thanks to a deal with the Los Angeles Rams, Houston was able to give rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud another weapon to work with.
Here are some of the best takes from Twitter following the Dell pick.

The #Texans got one of the most electric players in the draft with Tank Dell.
A super shifty route runner who was unguardable at the Senior Bowl, a human joystick with the ball in his hands who gets you YAC and should immediately return kicks/punts. pic.twitter.com/7qph26mSgH
