NFC team reportedly tried to trade up in draft to select Zay Flowers

New Ravens WR Zay Flowers plays with a chip on his shoulder

The Baltimore Ravens selected Boston College wide receiver Zay Flowers with the No. 22 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft. The team was able to secure Flowers despite other interest from teams, and will slot him in next to fellow wideouts Odell Beckham Jr. and Rashod Bateman in their offense.

According to Dan Duggan of The Athletic, Baltimore faced competition to secure Flowers’ services. The New York Giants reportedly tried to trade up in the draft for Flowers, but were turned away by teams who they inquired with, allowing the Ravens to secure the electric wideout.
