Ryan Poles trade history as Chicago Bears GM


The Bears acquired receiver Chase Claypool from the Steelers in exchange for a second-round pick that Pittsburgh spent on Penn State cornerback Joey Porter Jr.

The Bears dealt linebacker Roquan Smith to the Ravens in exchange for choices in the second and fifth rounds as well as veteran linebacker A.J. Smith. The Bears spent the two picks they received on Florida defensive tackle Gervon Dexter Sr. and Oregon linebacker Noah Sewell.

The Bears traded defensive end Robert Quinn to the Eagles in exchange for a fourth-round selection they used to pick Cincinnati receiver Tyler Scott.

The Bears acquired veteran receiver N’Keal Harry from the Patriots in exchange for a 2024 seventh-round choice.

April 30, 2022 (Day 3 of draft)

The Bears traded a 2023 sixth-round selection to the Chargers in exchange for seventh-round picks the Bears spent on California safety Elijah Hicks at No 254 and North Carolina State punter Trenton Gill at No. 255. The Chargers took Boise State tackle Scott Matlock at No. 200.

The Bears moved down 20 spots in the fifth round and drafted Southern Utah tackle Braxton Jones at No. 168, acquiring a sixth-round pick from the Bills the Bears spent on Baylor running back Trestan Ebner at No. 203. Buffalo chose Boise State receiver Khalil Shakir at No. 148.

The Bears moved down 16 spots in the fifth round to No. 166, acquiring a sixth-round selection from the Texans that the Bears spent on Illinois center Doug Kramer at No. 207. Houston took Stanford defensive tackle Thomas Booker at No. 150.

The Bears traded down in the fifth round again from No. 166 to 174, acquiring a seventh-round choice from the Bengals that the Bears spent on Southern guard Ja’Tyre Carter at No. 226. The Bears drafted Miami (Ohio) defensive end Dominique Robinson at No. 174, while Cincinnati selected Toledo safety Tycen Anderson at No. 166.

The Bears traded outside linebacker Khalil Mack to the Chargers in exchange for a 2022 second-round pick they spent on safety Jaquan Brisker and a 2023 sixth-round choice that they traded back to the Chargers on Day 3 of the 2022 draft (see above).
