Dexter Lawrence and the Giants agree to an extension

Dexter Lawrence taking on responsibility to become a leader on defense

Dexter Lawrence and the New York Giants have agreed on a contract extension that will make the All-Pro defensive tackle one of the highest-paid players in the game at his position.

According to Ian Rapoport, Lawrence, and the Giants have agreed to a 4-year, $90 million extension with $60 million in guaranteed money. It was a huge move for the Giants; they secured a foundational part of their defense that broke out in 2022.

Lawrence is coming off his best season in the NFL, where he earned second-team All-Pro honors and was arguably the best player on the Giants roster. It is a well-deserved contract for the former Tiger, who will look to be even more impressive during the 2023 season.
