Former Clemson defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence is one of the best players at his position in the NFL, and he is now getting paid like it.
According to Ian Rapoport, Lawrence, and the Giants have agreed to a 4-year, $90 million extension with $60 million in guaranteed money. It was a huge move for the Giants; they secured a foundational part of their defense that broke out in 2022.
Lawrence got paid and is now tied for the third highest-paid defensive tackle in the NFL with Washington Commanders Daron Payne. The two trail only Tennessee Titans’ Jeffery Simmons and Los Angeles Rams Aaron Donald in average yearly salary.
Here is a look at how Twitter reacted to Lawrence’s huge payday.

When the Giants traded Odell Beckham, Jr. to the Browns, one of the primary pieces they got in return was the 17th pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
That pick became Dexter Lawrence. A home run use of that pick. https://t.co/HlnY6w6bLg
