2023 Pac-12 win totals paint pretty picture for Ducks

Throughout much of the spring, analysts and media members spend a lot of time looking over the various rosters in the world of college football, trying to determine who had the best offseason moves, who is in the best position to make a run in the upcoming season, and which teams should be taken seriously going forward.

Then Las Vegas enters the picture.

The betting marker surrounding college football has taken off in recent years, and it gives us a great deal of information, especially when it comes to overall win totals. The sports books set a number of how many wins they think a certain team will have in the upcoming season, and bettors can go over or under.

Earlier in the year, we laid out our record projections for every team in the Pac-12, and now DraftKings has done the same. Here’s how they project the win totals should look for all of the teams out west.

Stanford Cardinal

Analysis

There’s a chance that Stanford wins a pair of non-conference games, and maybe steals one in the Pac-12 against one of the lower-rated teams in the conference. I wouldn’t bet on it. My money is going on the under 2.5.

Colorado Buffaloes

Analysis

It’s been interesting to see the narrative build around Coach Prime. It was all roses and sunshine when he took over in Boulder, but now that almost three-quarters of his roster has entered the transfer portal, there is some skepticism about what he’s building. I originally projected pretty high with five wins. The sportsbooks aren’t as optimistic.
