A recent list ranking the greatest field goal kickers of the 21st century had a Nebraska Cornhusker in the top 10. Former Cornhusker Alex Henery earned the spot on Big Game Boomer’s list of the Top 100 kickers since 2000.

The Omaha native kicked for the Cornhuskers from 2007 to 2010. During his time at Nebraska, he was a two-time second-team All-Big 12 (2009, 2010) selection and a first-team All-American (2010).

He is the all-time leading scorer in Nebraska history with 397 points. Henery also holds the NCAA career record for the highest percentage of field goals made in a career, with an 89.5% conversation rate.

His most famous kick occurred on Nov. 28, 2008, when Henery converted a 57-yard field goal in a win over Colorado. The Philadelphia Eagles selected the kicker in the fourth round of the 2011 NFL draft.
