2023 Home Opener vs. Buccaneers at U.S. Bank Stadium

The Vikings have opened their season against the Buccaneers four previous times: 1981, 1982, 1998 and 2005. Minnesota and Tampa Bay shared the NFC Central Division from 1976, when the Bucs entered the league through 2001. The NFL reconfigured into eight four-team divisions in 2002, when the Vikings were placed into the NFC North and the Bucs were placed in the NFC South.

After going 13-4 last season under Head Coach Kevin O’Connell, the Vikings will look to start out strong in O’Connell’s second year at the helm.
